Agave Glazed Carrots
- Combine Ingredients:
- In a medium saucepan, combine all your ingredients (carrots, liquid, and seasonings).
- Simmer Until Tender:
- Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer over medium heat.
- Cover and cook for 5-7 minutes, or until the carrots are fork-tender.
- Uncover & Glaze:
- Remove the lid and continue simmering, stirring occasionally, for another 5 minutes.
- Let the liquid evaporate, allowing the carrots to become lightly glazed.
- Adjust Seasoning:
- Taste and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper, keeping in mind that the sugar in the nectar may caramelize quickly.
- Serve:
- Serve immediately, or remove from heat, cover, and keep warm until ready to serve.
Tip:
- To avoid burning the glaze, keep an eye on the carrots during the last few minutes of cooking!
