Almond Butter Slices

  1. Preheat and Prepare Baking Tray:
Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Line a 30×40 cm baking tray with parchment paper and set aside.
  2. Prepare Topping:
In a small bowl, combine sugar, vanilla sugar, and almond slices for the topping. Set aside.
  3. Make Dough:
Sift the flour and baking powder into a mixing bowl. Add the Quark, milk, oil, sugar, and salt. Using a hand mixer fitted with dough hooks, mix the ingredients on high speed for 1 minute. Be careful not to overmix, as this will make the dough sticky.
  4. Assemble:
Transfer the dough to the prepared baking tray and roll it out evenly. Spread softened butter all over the surface of the dough.
  5. Top and Bake:
Evenly sprinkle the almond topping mixture over the dough. Bake on the upper rack of the oven for about 20 minutes, or until golden and crispy.
  6. Serve:
Let the bars cool slightly before slicing and serving. Enjoy!
