Banana Walnut Cinnamon Bread
- Preheat the Oven:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C).
- Prepare the Loaf Pan:
- Grease a loaf pan with oil and dust it with flour. Set aside.
- Toast the Walnuts:
- In a dry skillet over medium heat, toast the walnuts until fragrant, about 5 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool slightly, then chop coarsely.
- Combine Dry Ingredients:
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and chopped walnuts. Set aside.
- Combine Wet Ingredients:
- In another bowl, mix the mashed bananas, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla extract until well combined.
- Mix the Batter:
- Using a wooden spoon, gently fold the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients just until combined. Be careful not to overmix; the batter should be thick and slightly lumpy to avoid tough bread.
- Transfer to Pan:
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan, spreading it evenly.
- Bake:
- Bake in the preheated oven for 55-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Cool and Serve:
- Allow the banana nut bread to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely. Slice and enjoy!
