Beef Teriyaki Stir Fry
- Prepare the Sauce:
- Whisk the teriyaki sauce ingredients together in a small bowl.
- Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to meld the flavors.
- Cook the Beef:
- Heat oil in a large frying pan over medium heat.
- Add the beef and sauté for 3-4 minutes, just until browned on all sides.
- Remove the beef from the pan and set aside.
- Sauté the Vegetables:
- In the same pan, add the vegetables and sauté for 5 minutes, or until they begin to soften.
- Combine and Simmer:
- Stir the teriyaki sauce into the pan with the vegetables and bring to a simmer.
- Return the beef, along with any accumulated juices, to the pan.
- Cook for an additional 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Thicken the Sauce:
- In a small bowl, mix cornstarch with 2 teaspoons of cold water until dissolved.
- Stir the cornstarch slurry into the pan and allow the mixture to simmer for 2 minutes, or until the sauce thickens.
- Serve:
- Toss the beef and vegetables to evenly coat with the teriyaki sauce.
- Serve hot over rice or noodles. Enjoy!
