Cheddar Chile Beer Bread
- Preheat the Oven and Prepare the Pan:
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Grease a loaf pan thoroughly with non-stick spray or butter to prevent sticking.
- Mix the Dry Ingredients:
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the dry ingredients (flour, baking powder, etc.) until well combined.
- Add the Wet Ingredients:
- Stir in the green chiles, shredded cheddar cheese, and beer.
- Mix until just combined. The batter will be thick and slightly sticky.
- Transfer to the Pan:
- Scrape the batter into the prepared loaf pan and spread it out evenly using a spatula.
- Add Toppings:
- Sprinkle the seeds and coarse salt evenly over the top of the batter.
- Gently press them into the surface using your fingers.
- Bake the Bread:
- Reduce the oven temperature to 400°F (200°C).
- Place the loaf pan in the oven and bake for 45-50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Cool and Serve:
- Let the bread cool in the pan on a wire rack for about 15 minutes.
- Turn the loaf out of the pan and allow it to continue cooling.
- Slice and enjoy a sample while it’s still warm!
