Cheese Pork Chops

  • Preheat the Broiler:
Set your oven to broil and allow it to preheat while you cook the pork chops.
  • Sear the Pork Chops:
In a heavy-bottomed skillet, melt the butter with the olive oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, sauté the pork chops for about 3 minutes per side until nicely browned.
  • Finish Cooking:
After searing both sides, lower the heat to medium. Continue cooking the chops for an additional 5-6 minutes per side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Prepare the Creamy Mustard Mixture:
While the pork chops are cooking, mix together the heavy cream, Dijon mustard, and grated cheese in a bowl until well combined.
  • Broil the Pork Chops:
Transfer the cooked pork chops to an ovenproof dish. Spread the creamy mustard-cheese mixture evenly over the top of each chop.
  • Broil Until Golden:
Place the dish under the broiler for about 5 minutes, or until the cheese topping is bubbly and golden brown. Keep a close eye on it to prevent burning.
  • Serve:
Remove from the oven and let the chops rest for a minute before serving.
