Easy Chicken with White Wine Sauce
- Cook the Chicken:
- Heat oil in a 10-inch skillet over medium heat. Add the chicken and cook until golden brown on both sides, about 10 minutes. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
- Sauté the Aromatics:
- Add the shallot and thyme to the same skillet. Stir and cook for about 30 seconds, until fragrant.
- Deglaze the Pan:
- Pour in the white wine and stir, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the pan. Let the mixture simmer for about 2 minutes, reducing it by half.
- Add Broth and Simmer:
- Stir in the concentrated broth and mix well. Return the chicken to the skillet, spooning some of the sauce over the top.
- Finish Cooking:
- Simmer the chicken in the sauce for about 5 minutes, or until fully cooked and tender. The internal temperature should reach 165°F (74°C).
- Serve:
- Plate the chicken and drizzle the white wine sauce over the top. Pair with your favorite sides, such as mashed potatoes, rice, or roasted vegetables.
