French Toast Croissants with Strawberries

  • Prepare the Orange Butter:
    • In a small mixing bowl, beat together all the orange butter ingredients on medium speed, scraping the bowl often, until light and fluffy (about 1 to 2 minutes). Set aside.
  • Make the Egg Mixture:
    • In a shallow pie pan, whisk together the milk, eggs, and 1 teaspoon of orange peel.
  • Cook the Croissants:
    • Heat a 10-inch skillet or griddle over medium heat and melt 2 tablespoons of butter.
    • Dip 4 croissant halves into the egg mixture, turning to coat both sides.
    • Place the croissant halves, cut side down, in the skillet.
    • Cook for 3 to 4 minutes on each side, turning once, until golden brown.
    • Remove the croissants from the skillet and place them on a serving platter to keep warm.
