  1. Prep the Oven & Pan:
    • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9×13-inch pan with foil, leaving some overhang for easy removal later.
  2. Mix Dry Ingredients:
    • In a small bowl, sift together 1 cup of flour and 3/4 cup of cocoa powder.
    • Whisk in 1/2 teaspoon of sea salt, then set the mixture aside.
  3. Melt Butter & Chocolate:
    • In a medium saucepan, melt 1 cup (2 sticks) of butter and 4 ounces of unsweetened chocolate over low heat, stirring frequently until smooth.
  4. Add Sugar & Vanilla:
    • Once the chocolate is melted, stir in 2 cups of sugar and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract.
    • Remove from heat. The mixture will look grainy due to the sugar, but that’s normal!
  5. Whisk in Eggs:
    • Add 4 large eggs one at a time, whisking well after each addition until the batter is smooth and satiny.
  6. Incorporate Dry Ingredients:
    • Gently fold the flour and cocoa mixture into the batter until combined.
  7. Add Oreos:
    • Stir in roughly chopped Oreos (about 10-12 cookies), folding them into the batter.
  8. Bake:
    • Pour the batter into the prepared pan, spreading it evenly.
    • Crush a few more Oreos on top for extra crunch.
    • Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs (no wet batter).
  9. Cool & Serve:
    • Allow the brownies to cool in the pan before lifting them out using the foil. Slice and enjoy!

Tips:

  • For a fudgier texture, slightly underbake the brownies by a minute or two.
  • Serve warm with ice cream for a decadent treat!
