  • Stir in 1/2 cup melted butter, heavy cream, 1/4 cup brown sugar, and salt to the mashed sweet potatoes until fully combined.
  • Pour the sweet potato mixture into the prepared cast iron skillet.

Prepare the Brown Sugar Crumble:

  • In a medium bowl, combine 1/3 cup melted butter, 1/2 cup brown sugar, flour, chopped pecans, and crumbled bacon.
  • Stir until the mixture forms moist crumbles.
  • Sprinkle the crumble evenly over the sweet potato mixture.

Bake the Casserole:

  • Place the skillet in the oven and bake for 35 minutes, or until the top is golden brown.
  • Remove from the oven and let stand for 5 minutes before serving.
