Smoked Salmon Pasta
- Sauté the Aromatics
- In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
- Add the chopped onion and red bell pepper, sautéing for about 1 minute until they begin to soften.
- Stir in the minced garlic and sauté for another 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Add the Salmon
- Add the chopped smoked salmon to the pan and sauté for an additional 2 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.
- Create the Sauce
- Increase the heat slightly and pour in the cream and milk.
- Season with salt, pepper, thyme, and half of the grated Parmesan cheese.
- Reduce the heat to low and stir gently for about 5 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken slightly without letting it boil.
- Cook the Pasta
- Meanwhile, cook the pasta according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Combine and Serve
- Pour the creamy sauce over the cooked pasta, tossing gently to coat.
- Serve immediately, sprinkling with additional Parmesan cheese on top.
