Smoked Salmon Pasta

  • Sauté the Aromatics
    • In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
    • Add the chopped onion and red bell pepper, sautéing for about 1 minute until they begin to soften.
    • Stir in the minced garlic and sauté for another 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  • Add the Salmon
    • Add the chopped smoked salmon to the pan and sauté for an additional 2 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.
  • Create the Sauce
    • Increase the heat slightly and pour in the cream and milk.
    • Season with salt, pepper, thyme, and half of the grated Parmesan cheese.
    • Reduce the heat to low and stir gently for about 5 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken slightly without letting it boil.
  • Cook the Pasta
    • Meanwhile, cook the pasta according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  • Combine and Serve
    • Pour the creamy sauce over the cooked pasta, tossing gently to coat.
    • Serve immediately, sprinkling with additional Parmesan cheese on top.
